Citrus fruits saw a sales boom as Covid-19 hit and, nearly one year on, have continued to be a key area of growth across both prepared and whole-head fruit.
As appetite grows so does our offer, we have already expanded our citrus-featuring product portfolio and we won’t be stopping there. As innovation continues with this trend we will be launching new packs with our customer base.
Understanding this growth trend was key to new product development, our consumer panel showed a strong health focus in purchasing motivations and preferences with a particular emphasis in addressing daily vitamin requirements.
Over 50% of respondents state that vitamins and nutrients boost will encourage prepared fruit purchase.
But we also saw a dissonance in perception of vitamin content vs actual vitamin content.
